Horseback Riding Lessons

Available Riding Instructors

The following individuals have been approved by the HVRC Board as designated horseback riding instructors: Debbie Marriott, Pam McAfee, Brooke Bayley, Erin Harrington, Rachel Rice, and Jean Myrah. Any member is free to use one of these instructors for lessons. If you have another instructor you would like to use, they must comply with the designated instructor rules (See section below).

New Instructor Rules and Waiver

The HVRC Board has approved a set of rules and a waiver for instructors with an effective date of March 1, 2009. The new rules require ALL instructors who use HVA/HVRC rings to carry liability insurance and name property owners:

1) Hunters Valley Association, Inc., c/o S. Wheeler, 10505 Wickens Road, Vienna, VA 22181; and

2) Mark and Laurie Pedry, 10856 Flowerstone Street, Oakton, VA 22124 as additional insured parties under their policy.

The new rules also clarify other issues related to instruction including the use of the ring by instructors. They must also sign the Instructor Rules and Waiver Form and have proof of insurance in place or they will not be allowed to instruct on HVA/HVRC property.
